My friend offered to do raiki in an effort to make it better so I could snowboard the rest of the trip. Though I am not sure I believe in such magical healing powers (I'm pretty sure I don't actually) I let her do it because I was just THAT desperate to be able to continue snowboarding. If you think it's embarrassing to have someone pray over your foot, try having someone doing raiki over your ... er ... bum. Needless to say, since I found out later it was broken, the raiki did not heal my tail bone. I did continue to snowboard (much to the dismay of my doctor when I later told him) but I think it was more due to the magical powers of a bottle of ibuprofen.
